Cryptorchidism or commonly known
“Undescended Testicle” is a condition when a testicle hasn't moved into its
proper scrotum before birth. Here are some facts about the condition:
• In most of the cases, out of the two, only one
testicle is affected by the condition. Most commonly the right side testicle.
• However, around ten percent of the cases show
that both testicles could be undescended.
• If the testicle doesn’t moves into the scrotum
by the 3rd months the surgical treatment is required. Ideally testicle should
be brought down in the scrotum at 6 months. If there is a accompanying inguinal
hernia then early surgery is necessary.
• In the cases when the testicles do not move or
correct themselves, surgery could be opted to correct the condition
Early diagnosis and advanced management of the
undescended testicle disease is needed to preserve fertility. If your child is
suffering from any health problem, don’t delay. Consult ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ for advanced diagnosis and effective treatments.
